“I´m recently discovering the magic of portraits”

I was born in Bilbao (Spain).

‘Robert Doisneau was my inspiration when I started in the world of photography. He had an amazing way of delivering reality bites of society.

‘It was in 2000, when I moved to the UK, that I bought my first real camera, a Minolta Dinax5. I started taking pictures of everything I saw.

‘It was obviously not the best approach, since I wasn’t improving much, so after a year or so, I sold my old camera and bought a Canon EOS 30. Also, about that time, I decided to be more focused on my way of learning about photography. I read several books on technique and started to analyse my errors. It really helped me improve.

‘In 2003 I joined a professional photographer called Lee Frost and a group of fellow enthusiasts on a trip to Morocco. It was one of the best trips of my life; mainly because of the landscape, the people and their laid-back approach to life.

‘The rest, as they say, is history. In 2005, I gave an exhibition in London, and have been doing photography ever since.

‘Within the world of photography I’ve always preferred landscape and cities, although I’m recently discovering the magic of portraits’.
